My daughter Ellie and I visited recently on a Sunday afternoon, just looking for something to do together, and since Kinley Hill is dog-friendly, we brought Bobby along too! I booked us a time slot on their website for £5, which they deduct from whatever pumpkins you end up buying. However, they also have walk-ins, so just make sure you’re checking their socials to stay in the loop! Follow Kinley Hill Pumpkin Patch on Instagram here!
The variety of pumpkins was absolutely huge, —from the daintiest little spheres to the grandest giants, in hues of brilliant white, striking blue, and vibrant orange, and even those whimsical knobbly ones that seemed to have their own personality! After grabbing a wheelbarrow we eagerly set off to handpick our favourites. We deliberated for what felt like an eternity, lost in the charm of each pumpkin. Finally, we decided on six perfect beauties that we couldn’t wait to display at our doorstep back home!

The fun didn’t end there! This family-run pumpkin patch has thrown in all the cool extras to make your visit even more special. You’ll find loads of fun props to snap that Insta-worthy pic, plus yummy food and drinks from a burger van and Darcey’s Donuts when we were there, and guess what? Their alpaca’s were hanging out, ready to say hi! Although Bobby didn’t want to be friends with those! HA!

Our visit to Kinley Hill Pumpkin Patch was fantastic and an absolute blast for the whole family—your dog will have the time of their life too! If you’re in Durham or nearby, make it a point to drop by, meet the wonderful staff, and pick out some stunning pumpkins.
