The Neighbourhood Coffee House in Durham: Dog Menu Delights

The Neighbourhood Coffee House in Durham stands out as a stylish and inviting café in the heart of Durham City. Naturally, if we are visiting then it must be dog-friendly, making it the perfect spot for a visit after your dog walk. Durham offers fantastic experiences with your dog, whether you’re enjoying a leisurely stroll by the river, exploring the magnificent Cathedral, or relaxing in one of the many parks. You’ll easily find The Neighbourhood situated within the lobby of The Indigo Hotel on Old Elvet!

To complement their impressive dog friendliness, we were invited to experience their new Sir Woofchester dog menu, and the spaniels were in for a delightful treat!

Before our visit, we took a stroll along the river, easily accessible with a short walk from the Cafe. You can conveniently park at Hotel Indigo (charges apply) or choose from several nearby pay and display carparks in Durham.

After our walk we headed to the cafe. You know a place truly welcomes dogs when they invite them inside and shower them with attention, and that’s exactly the warm welcome we received. Every staff member came over to greet Finn and Willow, and they even have a dedicated Pawparrazi wall to showcase photographs of all their four-legged guests. Inside is welcoming and spacious with a variety of seating options to suit everyone.

The Taste Test

As I mentioned, The Neighbourhood Coffee House has proudly expanded their dog menu to feature an exciting selection of treats from Sir Woofchester, showcasing a variety of delicious goodies, beverages, and dinner bowls. With fun names like Paw Star ‘Martini’ and Bark Brew ‘Beer’, making a choice was challenging. However, knowing that each item is crafted with grain-free and natural ingredients, we were confident that whatever we chose, the spaniels would absolutely love it.

And they certainly did! Willow happily enjoyed a ‘Woof’ bar – an all-day breakfast snack bar, while Finn eagerly devoured a pot of ‘Bark Burgers’ mini cheeseburger treats in a delightful little pot. He was so enthusiastic, he almost ate the pot too! I can confidently say they were a big hit and we made sure we took some home for Bobby too!

Our visit didn’t end there; Ellie and I dug into some yummy treats of our own, along with a hot pot of tea and a smooth latte. The Neighbourhood Coffee House has a large selection of sandwiches, wraps, waffles, and breakfast goodies that you’ve got to try. Check out the menu here! If you’re planning a visit to Durham with your dog we definitely recommend popping in to say hello, you’ll be welcomed with open arms from the dog loving staff! Let us know if you visit and how you find your experience.

Our visit to The Neighbourhood Coffee House was complimentary. Our visit was perfect and it is certain that we will visit again next time we are visiting the city.
