If you crave a coastal walk that will sweep away any lingering cobwebs, this is the perfect adventure for you! Whether you choose to tackle it one way or the other, the Sandsend to Whitby walk is an absolute favourite of ours and our energetic spaniels. We recommend parking at Sandsend, then meandering along the stunning coastline to Whitby, where you can soak in the charming atmosphere before retracing your steps. Spanning a total of 6 miles, this journey will reward you with breathtaking coastal views and a stretch of pristine sand that your dogs will absolutely love to explore. We like to grab a milkshake from the Dog friendly Sandside Cafe to enjoy on the way

Parking at Sandsend is easy! You’ll find plenty of parking right along the road, with access straight from the road, down the steps to the stunning beach. Be sure to keep an eye out for those signs marking the dog-friendly zone. After that, take the captivating stroll south towards Whitby. The beauty of this beach is that it welcomes dogs all year round. Just a little reminder, there’s a parking fee, and we paid £6 for 4 hours. The walk to Whitby took us just over an hour.
